We Get Around ARTlanta Tech Village

ARTlanta Tech Village is an art meets tech project conceived, captured and created by We Get Around Chief Photographer Dan Smigrod. The three-dimensional Matterport 3D viewing experience features Atlanta Model-Actress Trini Quinn taking the viewer in a surprising and delighting tour of Atlanta Tech Village. Special thanks to: Atlanta Tech Village; Make-Up Artist and Hair Designer Kaitlin Pruette; Stylist Beth Drury; and Set Assistant Kate Biddle.

What happens when you mash up art with the cool space of Atlanta Tech Village and the new Matterport 3D Showcase three-dimensional viewing experience? Take an interactive virtual tour to discover the unexpected conceived, captured and created by We Get Around Chief Photographer Dan Smigrod.

Model-Artist-Spokesmodel Trini Quinn gives shout-outs to the creative team for ARTlanta Tech Village: a project conceived, captured and created by We Get Around Chief Photographer Dan Smigrod using Matterport 3D Showcase technology.

"When I visualized integrating a performance artist within a virtual tour of Atlanta Tech Village, I immediately recruited Artist-Model-Visual Storyteller Trini Quinn for this project," said Dan. "Trini adds magical, unexpected moments through-out Atlanta Tech Village. Plus, because we only got one-take for each of hundreds of 360º sweeps within the space, Trini needed to nail 'the look' every time."

"What I love about this Art meets Tech project is that we took a medium designed to showcase residential and commercial real estate, for example, and use it in an unexpected and surprising way", says Dan. "Plus, Trini has so many ideas that this was another opportunity to collaborate to create art. Each moment in time was a quick collaboration of the artist-model and photographer."

"When residential and commercial real estate agents, general contractors and architects can engage We Get Around to capture and create Matterport 3D Showcases to help their clients make confident decisions about leasing, buying, building and renovating, I'd love to integrate living art within their spaces too," says Dan. "Living art integrated in a space is such a great way to invite people to discover a property. Take a tour with surprising delighting and fun moments along the way."

"I love fashion and glamour photo shoots and I love capturing and creating Google Street-view like experiences of spaces with the Matterport 3D tech. It just seems obvious to me to mash the two together," says Dan. "And, to be Georgia's 1st Matterport 3D Showcase photographer is icing on the cake."

For fashionistas, here's how Trini describes her four different looks that she created for this art project:

  • The Mod Girl
  • The Femme Fatale (the high- bun with black top and black chiffon skirt and stilettos)
  • The Sweet One (cranberry crop top; pink flower crown and pink pleated long skirt)
  • The Fashionable Boss (the first look: with the striped bell skirt and magenta shoes)
