Starting today, selling luxury residential houses just got easier for real estate agents in the greater Atlanta area.

We Get Around now offers outdoor Walk-Arounds – captured with the Matterport Pro 3D Camera – to allow potential out-of-town house buyers – and other real estate agents – to 'Walk-Around' the exterior of a house at sunset or night.

"The necessity to have outdoor photography especially of the land and surroundings and outdoor living space is half of what helps sell Residential Real Estate," says an Associate Broker of a major Atlanta luxury real estate brand. The firm recently got started with our service by using a Walk-Around to privately offer a multi-million mansion for sale.

While Matterport does not officially support or promote outdoor photography with its camera, in the last 60 days, We Get Around Chief Photographer Dan Smigrod has successfully pioneered the use of the Matterport camera with the enthusiastic help and support of Matterport visual computing engineering, product development and customer support teams. For example, Matterport made changes to its cloud processing service based on Dan's nighttime capture testing of chromatic noise.

In addition to creating We Get Arounds Matterport 3D Showcase Walk-Arounds for our greater Atlanta area clients, Dan provides training to our Network of photographers that covers hundreds of cities among four continents. Training includes sunset and nighttime photo shoots. In the first four months that the Matterport 3D Showcase solution has even been possible, Dan has created Walk-Arounds of 200,000+ square feet of luxury residential and commercial real estate.

Example 1: By shooting the interior at sunset, the lighting looks great outside the atrium at this University Student Center. The patio was shot at night with the addition of a 'painting in' hand-held lighting technique; plus the addition of key-lights in the background. We Get Around Chief Photographer Dan Smigrod also pushed the Matterport 3D Showcase technology further with his spin on Hollywood magic by mashing up the daylight interior with the night time exterior to create this Walk-Around.

Example 3: By shooting the Atlanta Tech Village rooftop patio at sunset, We Get Around Chief Photographer Dan Smigrod successfully created a Walk-Around (even though Matterport does not support outdoor use). In addition to shooting at sunset, Dan took advance of the building's shade and clouds.

Example 4: After seeing an initial night time 3D Showcase by We Get Around Chief Photographer Dan Smigrod, Matterport engineers recalibrated its cloud processing to enable nighttime 3D Showcases without the addition of additional lighting. Dan prefers to enhance his nighttime shoots by 'painting in' light with a handheld LED 'paint brush' and the addition nof keylights. For this Walk-Around, Dan used no additional lighting.

Example 5: To capture the large, outdoor playground at Atlanta Children's Shelter, We Get Around Chief Photographer Dan Smigrod timed his photo shoot so that he could capture the playground when it was in the shade.

Example 6: By shooting the interior of The Carter Center Library Lobby at sunset, We Get Around Chief Photographer Dan Smigrod was able to get the lighting outside to look great. The exterior landscaping view is an important selling pointy for event planners interested in renting spaces at The Carter Center.
