Outhouse President and Co-Founder Stuart Platt
First, the name Outhouse…
The first thing people are told by Outhouse President and Co-Founder Stuart Platt is “Yes, I said Outhouse and it’s not what you think." Outhouse is an outsource solution for the housing industry (specifically, production home building) and that’s how they got their memorable name. Besides bringing on Matterport 3D Showcase tours as their newest service; since 1992 Outhouse has been providing home builders the following services and products:

- 3D renderings
- Animations
- Interactive web marketing tools
- Sales office displays
- Graphic design
- Commercial printing
Outhouse’s large menu of services is due to strategic mergers of multiple companies in different, but complimentary fields of expertise starting in 2000. Samples of all these services on their website, www.outhouse.net. Stuart and his business partner, Bill, have 30+ full-time employees and a 13,000 sq. ft. facility based in Phoenix, AZ. Outhouse is the only company in the nation providing all these services to production home builders under one roof. "If you don’t do it in-house, bring it to Outhouse," says Stuart.
Stuart’s background is originally in architecture and drafting. He was born (1971) and raised in Arizona then spent 1994-96 working in London, England in architecture. Some of his projects included being part of the design team for Planet Hollywood restaurants and Warner Bros. Studio Stores. Upon his return to Phoenix he decided to start his own business. Stuart had never been outside the USA until he worked in London and that experience introduced him to his favorite hobby: travel.
