We Get Around Founder, CEO and Chief Photographer Dan Smigrod created the We Get Around Referral Network of Matterport Pro 3D Camera Photographers and Real Estate Agents to make it super-easy and super-fast to find a Matterport Pro 3D Camera Photographer – or Real Estate Agent.
Here Dan's list of 101 Reasons NOT to Join the Referral Network ...
- I already have more clients than I can handle.
- I have enough revenue.
- I do not like in-bound emails/phone calls from potential clients.
- I am the only Matterport Pro in my area (and it is unlikely I will ever have competition).
- I see many Matterport Pros on the map in my area; and no one wants to be first. I'll wait until someone else is first. I do not want an unfair competitive advantage.
- There is at least one Matterport Pro on the Referral Network map in my area so all hope is lost. I will lower my prices to win business.
- I am happy with the size properties I capture.
- I am happy with the kind of spaces I capture.
- I am happy with the rates I charge and the amount of business that I have.
- I am only interested in real estate clients in my market (and the agents and brokers all know me).
- I am not interested in 101 other uses for Matterport 3D Showcases: just residential real estate listings because agents pay top dollar for all their photography services.
- The lifetime value of a new client is not worth the monthly membership of the Referral Network.
- I do not like to be a member of any group that will have me.
- I do not like making things easy for myself.
- I already get tons of in-bound, high-quality emails from prospective clients.
- I only budgeted for the camera and related gear. I do not have a budget for growing my business.
- I am just starting out. I do not have any 3D Showcases yet. How do I get my first client?
- I do not receive points from my credit card company for Joining the Referral Network and paying my monthly membership by credit card.
- I do not want to make it easy for potential clients to find me.
- I only use the Matterport camera for our real estate listings: no other categories of business.
- My dog ate my homework.
- Seems like the Founder of the MUG Forum and Referral Network should offer this service for free.
- I do not offer any other related services for prospective clients,
- Thousands and thousands of people are looking at the Referral Network map, but probably not in my city.
- Only Forum members look at the Referral Network map: not prospective clients.
- I will wait until their is a MUG Forum post: Matterport Photographer Wanted: [My City] so all Pros in my city are alerted at the same time.
- I do not believe that 3-4 times as many non-members are are looking at the MUG Forum (and Referral Network map).
- I do not believe that only one person has canceled their Referral Network membership (because he sold his camera).
- I do not need the business expense tax deduction for Joining.
- It's too easy to Join. Members should have to jump through hoops.
- I am not worthy of new business.
- I would rather make cold calls to prospective clients.
- I do not see value in being an early adopter.
- I do not want to be profiled like Referral Network Members Aya, Ed, Carlos, Marcia, Stuart, Cathie, Paolo, etc.
- I am too good to Join Now.
- I am not good enough to Join Now.
- I am waiting for a sign from heaven.
- When I ask a Referral Network Member in another city, they tell me "Join Us." If I ask other Pros in my market, they say, "Bad Idea. Do NOT Join."
- I do not like monthly payments. I would rather pay a year in advance and not be able to cancel at anytime.
- I will Join Now only if I can have an exclusive like I offered my clients.
- Many others have not Joined yet; so it must be a bad idea: just like all my potential clients that are waiting for others to use 3D Showcases. There's no advantage of being among the first.
- I will wait until the sun, moon and the stars align.
- I am waiting for an invitation on a silver, gold or platinum plater.
- Since I am not busy, I would rather spend my money on more Matterport Camera gear and accessories.
- I do not like the Referral Network map push pin colors.
- I do not like the Referral Network map push pin shape.
- I do not like the Referral Network map push pin size.
- I do not believe it that I can cancel at anytime.
- Membership should come with a money-back guarantee: like I offer with my clients for their Matterport 3D Showcases.
- I can not decide between the three membership plans.
- The Referral Network should be free. I do not charge for my services.
- What if I go 12 months and I only get one new client?
- What if I go 12 months and I do not get one new client? That's a huge risk for $19 a month.
- What if the world is really flat?
- The Referral Network was started by the same person that started the Matterport User Group Forum (that only gets 55,000+ page views monthly) He doesn't have a clue how to create value.
- The Referral Network was started by the same person that started a Matterport service provider business. So, he doesn't know a thing about how hard it is to build a Matterport service provider business.
- The founder of the Referral Network does not care about helping me grow my business. Just because I can cancel at any time doesn't mean that he has an incentive to deliver value to members to keep them happy.
- Why should it be super-easy and super-fast for prospective clients to find me?
- I have heard that nearly all We Get Around Referral Network Contact Us and Matterport Pro Wanted leads are referred to members on the Referral Network map within two hours. I do not believe that "50 percent of sales goes to the first salesperson to contact the lead." (Slide 11)
- Prospective clients will find me.
- Prospective clients should work harder to find me rather than just looking at my profile on the Referral Network map.
- I do not charge enough to pay for marketing.
- My prices are so low, prospective clients will find me. Pricing my services like a commodity is a great marketing strategy to win new business.
- I am waiting for everyone to know about me from our existing clients. My clients like telling their competitors about me.
- I get enough referrals now from our existing clients.
- It sounds too good to be true that another Matterport Pro is trying to help other Matterport Pros to succeed.
- Prospective clients will eventually find me.
- I only do one 3D Showcase for each client, so the monthly membership does not pay for itself.
- The risk is too high to experiment with a monthly membership that I can cancel at any time.
- When prospects Google "Matterport Photographer" ... I always show-up among the top search results.
- When prospects Google "Matterport Photographer in my city" ... I always show-up among the top three results.
- I do not like that another Matterport Pro makes money helping other Matterport Pros succeed.
- I have a full-time business develop team.
- I am too busy trying to develop business to take ten minutes to Join Now and set up my Referral Network profile.
- I do not want a competitive advantage. That's not fair.
- I would rather save the money because I am not making enough money to Join Now.
- It just seems too easy.
- So what if I can cancel at anytime. The risk seems too great to try something new.
- Cold calling is a fun way to develop business. It's easy.
- Cold calling is effective for me and a good use of my time.
- Cold calling doesn't cost me anything and since I am not busy, I have lots of time to cold call.
- I would be surprised if anyone actually gets business from being a member, so why should I Join Now to find out.
- If I am the first to Join Now in my area; others will Join too. So, I do not want to be first.
- I do not like potential clients to reach out to me directly. I only like leads from people I know.
- I am really good with content marketing, so I show-up high in Google search.
- I will eventually be busy enough that I can wait to be successful.
- I enjoy having lots of free time. Getting more clients scares me.
- I can succeed without help.
- I would rather charge rock-bottom prices to help generate new business.
- Hope is my business development strategy.
- I will wait until I have many great examples. How do I get clients to have many great examples?
- I would rather struggle on my own to figure-out how to develop business.
- $19 per month is way too much. I do not charge enough to afford that.
- $19 per month is way too little. I can not imagine that it will help market my business. What if I only get one new client?
- I do not have the time to ask Members of the Referral Network if they are happy with the results. I am too busy prospecting.
- I am the only one that looks at the "push pin" profiles on the map.
- I am focused on being a Matterport Pro. I do not have time to work on marketing to get new business.
- The Referral Network cost per lead is too high..
- The Referral Network cost per conversion is too high.
- For $19 a month, there are a ton of other ways that I can market my business.
- The life-time value of one new client is not worth $19 per month.
