Matterport 3D Showcase | The homeowner bought the home while in the midst of a renovation, it was down to the studs. He finished it and wanted to get the 3D scan to show his family and the previous owners the results and to preserve the home virtually. It was originally built in 1955 and the home is near Cardiff-by-the-Sea, California. The backyard is a a huge part of the living space in this home. Carlos Hernandez is the Founder and Chief Photographer of Tour it now
Carlos Hernandez is the Founder and Chief Photographer of Tour it now Inc. in the greater San Diego area (Temecula, CA).
Carlos served in the Marine Corps from 2004-2014 and is a combat Veteran. Near the end of his military career, he focused on his transition and became a Real Estate agent. While serving clients in their real estate needs, he noticed the industry needed to change in how homes are shown and viewed.
He then learned about Matterport and decided to bring that technology to his own clients as well as other real estate agents in the greater San Diego community. He sees the Matterport 3D showcase becoming the new standard in showing real estate.
When Carlos started Tour it now Inc., he not only saw the opportunity for real estate, but for new ways to help academia. Carlos started scanning properties in February 2015. He also sees opportunity in the Virtual Reality (VR) side of Matterport.
His goal is to help bring Matterport VR to schools so students can take virtual field trips to places they can’t easily access; he is currently working on making that happen in his local community.
When Carlos isn’t scanning or helping clients, he is one the organizers of TEDxTemecula, an independently organized TED event.
Carlos has been a Matterport User Group (MUG) Forum Member since 19 February 2015. Carlos is also a Member of the We Get Around Referral Network of Matterport Pro 3D Camera Photographers and Real Estate Agents.
