Paolo Tosolini (@tosolini) is the Director of Emerging Media at RUN Studios, a video creative agency located in Kirkland, WA. In his consulting role, Paolo works closely with his main client Microsoft Corp., to identify new ways to do business storytelling through the use of multi-touch kiosks at events and lobbies (check out his video pitch on this topic).
Paolo’s wife, Francesca, is the founder of Creating Interiors and has been a home stager, interior designer and color consultant for more than nine years. As she expanded her services to include professional photography, Paolo decided to acquire a Matterport Pro 3D camera in May 2015.
While Francesca’s focus remains on residential properties, Paolo has been exploring new ways for large corporate accounts to benefit from virtual tours. Some ideas that he’s entertaining with his clients are:
- Visual database of the corporate campus cafeterias (example)
- Virtual tours of lobbies and other public spaces for New Employee Orientation (example)
- Walkthrough of the company Executive Briefing Center, which is usually a highly attractive customer-facing space
- Virtual tours of the company visitor center and video production facility
Another area of interest for Paolo is the integration of 3D tours with other contextual multimedia information. His recent tutorial on Embedding Matterport 3D Tours in Online Presentations is his way to start giving back to the Matterport User Group Forum – powered by the We Get Around Referral Network of Matterport Pro 3D Camera Photographers and Real Estate Agents – which has been instrumental in his decision to invest in the Matterport equipment.
